About

I have been a professional artist since 1973, with my paintings included in the collections of government, corporate, and religious organizations, and of private individuals on three continents. Here you can browse my paintings online and even purchase original art and prints through PayPal.

I was born in San Francisco, California in 1951 and attended elementary through high school in the San Francisco Bay Area. I lived in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale and Pleasant Hill, California, before moving to Salt Lake City, Utah, where I now reside. After high school, I received an Art Scholarship to Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah in 1969 and subsequently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1974.

After graduation, I pursued an art and painting career in California until 1978, when I moved to Utah to access opportunities to paint art work for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I spent the next 25 years creating over 30 major paintings for the LDS Church.  Many of these art works and thematic murals were commissioned for use in administrative buildings, local church buildings, and as educational materials.

While I was painting for the LDS Church, I also painted many works, such as landscapes, portraits, still-lifes, and genre scenes depicting acts of every-day life that I marketed through galleries in Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah.

I have been included in solo and group exhibitions, winning many awards for my art works throughout the years.

Currently, I am now venturing out on a new artistic quest to paint scenes that have a social justice theme, using my talents to depict ideas that interconnect social issues, interpersonal relationships, the nexus between human caring and the terror of human-caused abuse. I also continue to paint landscapes, still-lifes, portraits, and genre scenes.

My paintings are included in the collections of government, corporate, religious organizations and private individuals in the United States, Europe and parts of Asia.
