Surrealism
I have always been fascinated by "surrealism." I was enamored by surrealists, Rene Magritte and Salvador Dali, and how everyday objects could be placed in various positions.....exaggerated, bent, stretched and melted. I loved the "Dada" movement in the early 1900s as well. "Dada" made fun of stuffy literalness and pushed objects into non-ordinary importance by being situated in strange and off-the-wall visual spaces and imbued with double-entendre meanings.
So, some of my fascination with this came out in art pieces that I have done in the past, see "Two Sets" above, but now would also like to do more of at the present time. We shall see if I come up with a few new pieces that combine my interest in these slightly rebellious visual thoughts and my technical abilities.
